The Beam Magazine presents an Afsana ‘Mein Haari Piya’ by Sana Khaliq. Sana is from the small but very beautiful city of Gujrat in Pakistan. She is a commerce graduate. An avid reader of Urdu novels, she began writing novels herself in 2014, in spite of opposition from her parents. They simply did not believe that she could be a good author. However, encouraged by her friends, she started writing and publishing on social media. Within a span of a few months, she became popular and gained recognition as a writer on social media. She is grateful to the Almighty for this.
Sana has drawn inspiration for her writing from the works of Hashim Nadeem, Umaira Ahmed, Nimra Ahmed, Ashfaq Ahmed, Manto, Nighat Abdullah and many more. She tries to keep her novels as close to reality as possible. All her three novels to date: Gulisan-e-Paris, Mera Ishq Tu, and Mohabbat Jo Rooth Si Gayi, are as close to reality as possible. She is thankful to her fans for their support and appreciation. She hopes to continue writing such novels that her fans will maintain the love that they have afforded her with.
‘Mein Haari Piya’ is the story of a girl who has everything in her life by the grace of the Almighty. But she is not satisfied and yearns for more. This yearning leads her to the path of self-destruction. But will love give her a second chance? Will her companion continue to love her even after her mistakes?
